SoundSessions is a 12-module training curriculum which teaches the fundamentals of being a good audio technician. It was created to train volunteers in a church setting, but it can easily be adapted to other uses and venues, too. The curriculum was created by Jeremy Carter, who has been doing professional audio in and around churches in the Central Indiana area for 20 years. From 2002-2010 Jeremy was the Technical Director at Oakbrook Church in Kokomo, overseeing all the Audio-Video-Lighting systems and teams.

Tonight, I found your Sound Sessions blog from a link on the ProSoundWeb page. I was reading an article by you that was posted there. It is called:
Organizing Your Board: A Great Mix Comes From Humble Beginnings

I really love the Pyramid Mix diagram for order of channel inputs on a mixer. Half the battle of mixing sound is being organized with your gear. When I mix sound on the larger boards, I need to have my inputs organized so that I can be more in control of my mix. Especially, when I am am working with multiple bands on a gig.

Now that I found your blog, I want to learn even more about sound mixing. Thanks for taking the time to share your sound experience and knowledge with the rest of us.
